Rightly regarded as one of the pinnacles of 20th-century chamber music, Olivier Messiaen’s Quatuor pour la fin du Temps will be performed as part of the Apocalypses exhibition, running from September 9, 2025, to January 18, 2026, at the International Musée international de la Réforme (MIR). Composed in 1941 under conditions of extreme deprivation, Messiaen's work draws inspiration from the Apocalypse of Saint John. The MIR exhibition presents more than 150 historical and contemporary testimonies to mark the 80th anniversary of the explosion of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
