JONATHAN HARVEY, CAROLA BAUCKHOLT, ROBIN MEIER WIRATUNGA
Can music transport us into the world of another species? Jonathan Harvey takes forty birdsongs and slows them down to draw out their exuberant ornamentation, giving us a sense of "what it would be like to be a human inside a bird's head." Carola Bauckholt turns away from melody, restricting her material to the piercing cries of geese, swans, pelicans, and cormorants, while Robin Meier Wiratunga invents a sonic dialogue between airborne pigeons and earthbound instrumentalists.
