OUTREACH AND FAMILY EVENTS

In tune with the spirit of our times and driven by the desire to make contemporary music accessible to everyone, we continue to expand our offerings for all audiences through participatory activities that foster direct encounters with the Ensemble's core musicians.

This season, we’re thrilled to deepen our commitment to young audiences with a new family-focused series at Les 6 Toits, created in collaboration with Eklekto Percussion, the Conservatoire Populaire and the Geneva Chamber Orchestra (OCG):

« Dimanche, c’est famille »

On the first Sunday of every month (except during school holidays), Les 6 Toits transforms into a place of discovery for all ages, with workshops, performances, mini-concerts, and moments of sharing in a welcoming, creative atmosphere. Contrechamps will also propose its own discovery formats, always in close collaboration with its core musicians.

We remain committed to our signature projects, such as Family Day, our series of concerts and programs in museums (including the MAH or the Musée d’Histoire des Sciences), and our ongoing collaboration with the Geneva University of Music (HEM). A series of public performances throughout the season offers numerous opportunities to discover emerging talents, both performers and composers.

Our outreach work in schools continues to thrive, with over 2,000 children taking part in our workshops and tailor-made musical programs each year.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience music from the inside – perhaps even share the stage with us – now’s your chance! The Close-Up ensemble, which made its debut at the 2025 Archipel Festival, returns this season. This hybrid project brings together amateur musicians and core members of the Ensemble Contrechamps for a new creation by Olga Kokcharova. Everyone is welcome, regardless of instrument or musical background.

In the same spirit of participation, the Chœur en Fusion, which is already a regular presence at Les 6 Toits, will experience a highlight this season: a collaboration with the OCG, as always under the direction of Aurélien Chappuis. The inclusive choir welcomes everyone who wants to sing – whether with or without disabilities – in an open and joyful atmosphere.

All our concerts thrive on the connection with you, our dear audience! We eagerly anticipate a season filled with shared musical experiences, family moments, curiosity, open ears, big smiles and lots of joy.
